ROSEWOOD CHURCH EXISTS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE TO REACH THE LOST
AND BUILD UP BELIEVERS
WHAT WE BELIEVE AND LIVE OUT
PURPOSEFUL RELATIONSHIPS/ACTS 2:44
PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE/ROMANS 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
KNOW, GO & GROW
DEVELOPING DEVOTED DISCIPLES/MATTHEW 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
SERVE, NOT BE SERVED
CONTRIBUTORS, NOT CONSUMERS/ MATTHEW 20:28
...just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,
and to give his life as a ransom for many.
GIVE WITHOUT QUESTION/ ROMANS 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
In 1937, a group of people approached Rev. F.T. Cox to seek his leadership and to begin a Church in the southeastern part of Columbia. Rev. Cox agreed and they secured a tent from a neighboring Church to begin to meet on Rosewood Drive.
From impactful ministry through the Women's Mission Union, to a Sunday School attendance that once reached over 900 people, to serving as the epicenter of relief during the flood of 2015, Rosewood Church has been a vital part of this community for eight decades.
Rosewood has been a mainstay in the Rosewood neighborhood and 80 years later, on Sunday,
September 10, 2017, the NEW Rosewood Church began after a Re-brand and a Re-launch seeing 122 in attendance.
This Church has a storied and rich history, of which we are thankful to continue to grow and build upon. Without a group of faithful people willing to meet in a tent in 1937, we surely would not be able to see the revival we are experiencing today!
